| This page was last modified on Wednesday, September 01, 2010 01:24:38 PM 2010 Project Healthy Living September 14 through October 16 We are thrilled to announce that thanks to our dedicated staff and strategic partners, WXYZ-TV Channel 7 and Quest Diagnostics, Project Healthy Living will run at a select number of mall sites this fall. The City of Southfield will host the traditional kick-off event at the Southfield Civic Center, located at 26000 Evergreen Rd., on September 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Project Healthy Living continues Wednesday, September 15th from noon to 6:00 p.m. The cost of the blood panel, PSA, CA-125 and C-Reactive Protein tests will increase to $50 for the first time in over six years (see below). All other blood work will remain at last year's costs. The blood panel (which is a $700 value) will still be more than a 90% savings. Due to limited funding, we will conduct 8 sites for a total of 19 days. Click on the "PHL 2010 Site Calendar" link in the upper right column to view the complete events calendar. We hope that you will support our efforts at these sites this fall. Community support will ultimately determine if United Healthy Organization (UHO) will administer and run Project Healthy Living in the spring of 2011. With such an abbreviated schedule, efforts were made to select centrally located sites that were convenient and easy for our loyal participants to reach. It is our hope and plan to reinstate a wider array of sites in the spring of 2011. As a non-profit, we rely on contributions, volunteers and sponsors. If you or someone you know would like to contribute to Project Healthy Living through a tax deductible donation, please contact us or click on our "Supporting Project Healthy Living" or "Sponsorship Opportunities" links for more information. We appreciate your support. UHO and Project Healthy Living are "going green" this year. In the interest of saving paper, postage, and the planet, UHO will make better use of the internet via email and social networking. We invite you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter when available. Join our email list to recieve electronic alerts about upcoming events. Please send us your email address with the words "contact info" in the subject line to projecthealth2009@gmail.com. We will limit our emails to no more than 10 per year and will not release your information to any other source. Project Healthy Living is 42 Years Old!
