We Need Volunteers!
Are you interested in volunteering at a Project Healthy Living site this year? Volunteers are the life of Project Healthy Living and we wouldn't be able to serve the thousands of Project Healthy Living participants without you. We are always looking for medical and non-medical volunteers to help provide a variety of services to our participants in Southeast Michigan.
Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Velisa Perry at
projecthealth@comcast.net or by calling (
313) 531-9100. Let her know the site(s) where you'll like to volunteer and the date(s) and time(s) when you are available. If there is a particular station where you'd like to volunteer, please specify. For example non-medical stations include: registration, check point, height & weight, blood registration, blood labeling, and test complete. If you are a medical volunteer let us know if you'd like to work at blood pressure, phlebotomy, pulse oximetry, hearing, glaucoma or counseling and referral.
If you have any questions about the duties of any station, just come to our training session/demo site for site coordinators and volunteers at Southfield Civic Center on March 16th. The Civic Center is located at 26000 Evergreen (Civic Center Dr.) in Southfield, Michigan - north of the Lodge Freeway and south of I-696. The demo site will let you see first hand how a PHL site runs. Afterwards (approximately 3:30 pm) we will hold a short training session to answer any questions you may have, provide additional information and allow you to learn station requirements. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by March 10th at
projecthealth@comcast.net or by calling 313-531-9100.
